There are no words I can say or write that could ever put a dent in the making sense of or the easing of the pain of losing Lindsey. She left the Earthly world one year ago today. Her family has been a vivid reminder of the strength that can be found, when you think there's no way it can. Lindsey was so young, so bright, and so special. She was always a free spirit and now she will remain forever free.
Our big family doesn't feel quite right without Matt or Lindsey there to be their out-loud selves, but we keep loving and laughing because it's what you both would want. You'd want the games of Yahtzee with throwing cups in the air or the laughing so hard until there are tears in our eyes over the stories of "the old days."
We all miss you everyday Lindsey, and you have given us inspiration to live our lives a bit differently. A bit more open. A bit more fun. A bit more willing to be crazy. A bit more on the edge. A bit more caring. A bit more loving. A bit more with no regrets. And, for that, we can all be forever grateful to you.
Jerry, Colette, Lacie, Taylor, and Logan...my heart is with you today more than it has been everyday.

Your Blog provides a beautiful insight into the little things in life that we all seem to overlook. I am saying lots of prayers for your mom. Especially today for you & your family. Jerry, Colette & all of your family are truly amazing people and you are examples of what a beautiful spirit Lindsey had.
